Apple Pie with Puff Pastry Crust

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 4 to 5 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon apricot jam


  • Step 1

    Grease an 8” or 9” pie dish with baking spray. Line with parchment paper.

  • Step 2

    Spread the puff pastry into the prepared pie dish. Prick the pastry with a fork and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Remove the crust from the fridge and spread the apple sauce over it. Distribute the apples evenly over the applesauce. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cubed butter.

  • Step 4

    Bake at 350℉ for 40 minutes.

  • Step 5

    Heat the apricot jam in the microwave for 20 seconds. Use a pastry brush to brush the apricot jam over the cooked pie. Dust with confectioners sugar before serving.
