This rich chocolatey smoothie bowl is perfect for breakfast or whenever you need a wholesome treat! Made with frozen bananas, cold brew coffee, cocoa powder, tahini, and Medjool dates. Top with toasted sesame seeds, banana heart shapes, cocoa nibs, a swirl of tahini.

  • 1 cup banana (about 1 ½ bananas), peeled, sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup zucchini (about 1 small zucchini), diced and frozen
  • 4 frozen blackberries
  • 1/3 cup cold brew coffee (diluted if using concentrate)
  • 1/4 cup non-dairy milk
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 heaping tablespoons tahini (or chocolate-flavored tahini)
  • 2-3 whole medjool dates, pitted and torn
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sliced banana, for serving
  • Blackberries, for serving

Method

  • Step 1

    Add frozen banana, frozen zucchini, frozen blackberries, cold brew coffee, non-dairy milk, oats, cocoa powder, tahini, dates, and vanilla extract to the blender and blend on high speed until smooth, thick, and creamy.

  • Step 2

    Spoon mixture into a chilled bowl and top small circles of tahini. Drag a toothpick or the tip of a knife through the tahini to create heart shapes. Top bowl with sliced banana (or fun cut-out shapes of banana!), sesame seeds, and cocoa nibs and serve immediately.
