Grilled Artichokes With Ghee And Remoulade

"Although it's been pouring rain all day - I was able to light the grill up for these gorgeous artichokes! Grilled artichokes are my go-to on warm sunny days with friends - they just taste like 'a good time'! So I'll be enjoying these delicious and lightly charred artichokes, with some girlfriends tonight, while channeling sunny days ahead! Yay! Happy Wednesday!"

Recipe Card

For the Remoulade


  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons capers, including liquid
  • 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Grilled Artichokes


  • 10-12 artichokes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon ghee


  • Step 1

    To make the remoulade: combine all ingredients.

  • Step 2

    To make the artichokes: steam artichokes for 10-15 minutes. Then cut in half, clean out choke and trim leaves. Combine basting mixture of ghee, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper, and brush on generously.

  • Step 3

    Get your grill hot and grill for 5-10 minutes while basting and turning.

  • Step 4

    Serve with melted ghee and garlic mixture or with remoulade.
