ingredients

  • 200 gram Parwal
  • 1 pieces Tomato
  • 1 pieces Onion
  • 1/2 inch piece Ginger slice
  • 3 pieces Green Chilli
  • 1 teaspoons Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoons Garam Masala Powder
  • To Taste Salt
  • Mustard Oil
  • 1 teaspoons Sugar

Method

  • Step 1

    Scrap the skin of parwals. Cut them vertically. Season with salt and turmeric powder.

  • Step 2

    Pour mustard oil in pan. Temper the oil with 1 tsp sugar. Put parwals for frying.

  • Step 3

    As parwals become golden brown, add masala paste. ( Paste of 1 tomato,1 onion, green chilli and ginger slice). Put it in pan.

  • Step 4

    Coat the parwals well with the masala paste.

  • Step 5

    Add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 Tsp coriander powder. Mix everything.

  • Step 6

    Continue stirring in medium flame, otherwise masala will get stick to the bottom of the pan.

  • Step 7

    Add 1/2 Cup warm water. Cook for few minutes to thicken the gravy.

  • Step 8

    Sprinkle 1 Tsp Garam Masala Powder. Cook for few minutes. Finish cooking.
