ingredients

  • 4 cups Urad Dal
  • 1/2 inch Ginger slice
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 2 teaspoon Rice flour
  • 1 cups Coconut slice
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 pieces Dry red Chilli
  • 4 tablespoons Mustard oil
  • 3 cups Soya Oil
  • To Taste Black Salt
  • To Taste Gur
  • 2 teaspoons Curd

Method

  • Step 1

    Soak Urad Dal overnight in water. Next morning, drain out the water Put the Dal in blender. Add Ginger slice and chilli. Make paste.

  • Step 2

    Take the Dal paste out in a bowl. Add rice flour and salt and sugar to taste. Whisk together everything.

  • Step 3

    Now pour soya Oil in pan. Take lumps of Dal in hand. Use palms and make Medu-vada. Make a hole in the middle. Put it in oil for frying. Fry golden. Take out the vadas after frying.

  • Step 4

    For Coconut Chutney, Take coconut slices in a blender. Add salt and Gur to taste. Add 2 Tsp Curd. Make paste.

  • Step 5

    Take the paste in a bowl. Take 4-5 Tsp mustard oil in a bowl/ladle. Temper the oil with 1 tsp mustard seed and dry red Chilli. As seeds splatter,pour it over the chutney. Coconut Chutney is ready
