ingredients
- 200 grams yellow peas
- 1 medium tomato
- 1 teaspoons cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 1 dry red chilli
- 2 teaspoons mustard oil
Method
Step 1
Wash yellow peas and soak them in water overnight. Next morning drain out the water and put it in pressure cooker. Add water as much needed. Cook for 4-5 whistles. Take it out.
Step 2
Put mustard oil in pan (as much needed) Temper the oil with dry red chilli. Chop the tomato into cubes. Put the chopped tomatoes in pan. Cook till tomatoes become mushy. Add 1 tsp Cumin powder and salt to taste. Add 1 tsp Turmeric powder. Add the boiled yellow peas. Cook for few minutes.
Step 3
Add water (stock of the yellow peas). Cook for few minutes more in low flame. Transfer to a plate and serve.
