Method

  • Step 1

    Take a pan. Dry Roast the Mug Dal. Roast the Dal in medium flame till nice aroma comes out. Then wash the Dal and put it in pressure cooker. Add 1 Cup water. Add salt to taste, 1 tsp Turmeric powder, 1 tsp ginger paste. Drizzle drops of mustard oil. Pressure cook for 1 whistle.

  • Step 2

    Pour Mustard oil in pan. Temper the oil with 1 tsp jeera. Put prawns for frying. Add salt and turmeric powder. Fry Prawns golden. Set aside after frying.

  • Step 3

    Add 1-2 tsp oil in pan. Temper the oil with 1 tsp jeera. Chop the tomato and put it in pan. Add 1 tsp ginger paste. Add fried Prawns. Add salt and sugar to taste. Mix everything.

  • Step 4

    Pour the Dal. Mix it well. Cover with a lid and cook for few minutes. Remove the lid, toss everything. Sprinkle 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder and finish cooking.
