Halloumi Cheese and Sriracha Mayonnaise Smashed Burger Taco

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 6 flour tortillas
  • Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 package crumbled halloumi cheese
  • Pickles, chopped
  • Tomatoes, chopped
  • White onion, chopped
  • Lettuce, chopped
  • Red cabbage, chopped

Method

  • Step 1

    Form balls with the ground beef and flatten them onto the tortillas. Season the top of the meat with salt and pepper.

  • Step 2

    Heat a bit of oil or butter in a pan, then place the tortillas with the beef side down in the pan for about 4-5 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Sprinkle the crumbled halloumi cheese on top of your burger.

  • Step 5

    Cover the pan and cook for another 3 minutes.

  • Step 6

    Remove from heat.

  • Step 7

    Prepare the sauce by mixing about 1/2 cup of Sriracha mayonnaise with a tablespoon of chopped onion and a tablespoon of chopped pickles.

  • Step 8

    Top the smashed burger tacos with lettuce, red cabbage, chopped tomatoes, more pickles, and the Lee Kum Kee Sriracha mayonnaise sauce.
