Pumpkin Hummus

  • 2 whole garlic cloves
  • 1 can chickpeas, 15.5 ounce
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, for garnish
  • pumpkin seeds, for garnish
  • paprika, for garnish


  • Step 1

    Peel the garlic cloves and place them in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.

  • Step 2

    Drain the chickpeas. Add the chickpeas, pumpkin puree, salt, cumin, lemon juice, and maple syrup. Pulse thoroughly until smooth and fully incorporated.

  • Step 3

    Remove from food processor and place into serving dish/bowl. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with pumpkin seeds and paprika.
