ingredients

  • 1 container Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider, preferably Red Jacket

Method

  • Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Mix together cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar in a small bowl.

  • Step 2

Unroll crescent dough into a rectangular shape. In an even layer sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the dough.

  • Step 3

Cut the dough vertically into 1 1/2 to 2 inch strips. Twist each strip, fold them in half, twist a few more times, then tie into a knot. Place dough knots on a parchment lined baking sheet and put into the oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • Step 4

While knots are baking, prepare the glaze. Mix powdered sugar and apple cider in a bowl until fully incorporated.

  • Step 5

When knots finish baking, evenly distribute the glaze onto each one and enjoy.
