No-Bake Caramel Custard

(4)
""Oyatsu no jikan" is a phrase I grew up with in Japan, which means "time for snack." Three 'o clock was our "oyatsu no jikan," and I remember sprinting home from school looking forward to the day's snack that my mom prepared. This no-bake creme caramel ("Purin," in Japanese) was my absolute favorite! Rich custard with a layer of soft caramel on top--how can you wrong? This is also known as custard pudding, flan, or caramel custard, different names for the same, delicious thing. It might still be my snack of choice for "oyatsu no jikan." What's yours?⁣"
