My story is slightly differentšš»āāļø.

Ronnie was showering me with fresh fruits and berry delicious smoothies when I was sick last weekš¤.

So I decided to return his generosity by whipping up this delightful dessertš„®.
.
Orangeštarts are the perfect way to harmonize the colors of spring and a powerful punch of zesty oranges.

Plus, the vitamin C šŖš¼rich content keeps your immunity levels high whenever youāre under the weather.

Whatās inside this tasty tart?
.
This terrific tart is made up of a nutty crust that encompasses a sweet and tangy citrusš filling. The tanginess is complemented with sweet maplešsyrup and seasonal fruitsš.

Also, I slipped in Dunaliella salina powder to increase its immune-boosting capabilities.

Ingredients
Crust:
ā¢ 1 1/4 cup GF flour
ā¢ 1/2 cup almond flour
ā¢ 1-2 tbsp. pure maple syrup
ā¢ 5 tbsp. coconut oil
ā¢ 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
ā¢ A pinch of salt
Filling
ā¢ 1 Ā½ cups of fresh orange juice
ā¢ Ā¾ cup of pure maple syrup
ā¢ 1 cup coconut cream
ā¢ 1 tbsp. orange zest
ā¢ 1 tsp agar powder
ā¢ 1 tsp dunaliella salina powder (optional)
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180ĀŗC and grease the tart tin with vegetable oil. Set aside.
2. Chuck all the ingredients for the crust in a food processor.
3. Pulse to get a moist moldable mixture.
4. Press the crust firmly into the bottom and sides of the prepared tart tin.
5. Bake for 15 mins or until the crust turns golden.
6. Let it cool on a wire rack.
7. Combine all the ingredients (except agar powder) of the filling in a saucepan.
8. Boil the mixture and then add agar powder. Let it simmer for 3 mins or until the agar dissolves properly.
9. Strain the mixture through a mesh sieve and then let it cool in the room temperature.
10. Pour your filling into the crust.
11. Pop it into the fridge to set (approx. 4 hrs)
