ingredients

  • 2 ounces rye whiskey
  • 3/4 ounces sweet vermouth
  • 1/4 ounce absinthe
  • 1 dash of Angostura Bitters
  • lemon peel

Method

  • Step 1

    Add absinthe to mixing glass and rinse the glass with absinthe by tilting the glass until the sides are coated. Discard the excess absinthe.

  • Step 2

    Add whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters. Fill the glass with ice cubes and stir for about 30 seconds.

  • Step 3

    Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon peel and enjoy.
