Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
Serving size: yields 3-4 large waffles
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
3 tbsp coconut sugar (white sugar works, too)
3 tbsp matcha
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 tbsp coconut oil (liquid)
2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Plug in / pre-heat your waffle iron.
In a large bowl, add and whisk together you dry ingredients (flour, coconut sugar, matcha, baking powder).
Next, add in your wet ingredients, and whisk until your batter contains no lumps.
Tip: to achieve that vibrant matcha green colour, you can add more matcha as desired, though be careful of proportions of wet to dry ingredients. You can also add a tsp of liquid chlorophyll to achieve that vibrant green!
When ready, ladle your waffle batter into your waffle iron one by one. Serve and enjoy!
