Slow Cooked Cranberry Apple Sauce
I have been testing recipes to get ready in time for your Thanksgiving table. Beautiful fresh Cranberries are in abundance at the market now and worth trying homemade. Since Cranberries are very tart, cranberry sauce is usually loaded with sugar. By creating a slow cooked cranberry apple sauce I was able to eliminate all the sugar for a naturally sweetened, nutrient dense, delicious sauce. My children don’t like the traditional cranberry sauce, but they loved this! Cranberry Apple Sauce 4 apples 1 cup cranberries 1 cinnamon stick 3 dates Add all ingredients to slow cooker and cook for about 6 hours on low heat.
