ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 large eggs
- 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 tablespoons ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoons ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Method
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars with the electric beater. Add molasses and eggs and combine.
Step 2
Add sifted flour, baking soda, ground ginger, cinnamon, ground cloves and salt and combine.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and let the dough rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Scoop the dough into even one inch balls and roll in granulated white sugar.
Step 5
Place evenly on a baking tray to allow for spread.
Step 6
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
