RECIPE:
Pizza Ingredients:
- Kimchi
- Pizza dough
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella
- Sesame oil for sauteing
Gochujang Sauce Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
Instructions:
1. Take pizza dough out from fridge and let it adjust to room temperature for about 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Meanwhile, chop kimchi into small pieces and saute over medium heat in sesame oil. Saute until much of the juice has been cooked off.
3. Roll out pizza dough, and gently stretch it with the help of gravity to let it relax. Toss it if you're feeling adventurous. The dough can be whatever shape you want it to be, but I try to get it down to about half a centimeter thick.
4. Spread out a thin layer of pizza sauce onto the dough. Then top it with the sauteed kimchi and then the mozz to your heart's content, and break an egg in the center.
5. Bake for about 9-12 minutes, or until crust has browned and egg white is cooked.
6. Mix all of the gochujang sauce ingredients together. Once the pizza is done, drizzle your delicious sauce over the pizza and garnish toasted white sesame seeds, sliced scallions, cilantro, or whatever other herbs you like.
