  • 1 can coconut cream
  • 3/4 cup tequila (silver or white)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/3 cup agave
  • 1/4 cup Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • 6 ounces hulled fresh strawberries
  • Garnish shredded coconut
  • Garnish sugar or salt
  • Garnish lime zest
  • for serving Ice


  • Step 1

    Add coconut cream, tequila, lime juice, agave, Cointreau, and strawberries to a blender. Pulse until blended and smooth.

  • Step 2

    To rim the glasses, combine some shredded coconut, salt or sugar, and lime zest in a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass. Dip the top of each glass upside-down in the mixture. Gently rotate back and forth until the rim is covered with mixture.

  • Step 3

    To Serve on the Rocks: Fill up each glass with a handful of ice cubes, then pour the margaritas over the ice and serve immediately. To Serve Frozen: Add 3-4 cups of ice to the margarita mixture and pulse in a blender until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
