ingredients

  • 3 pounds country-style pork ribs
  • 1 tabelspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablepsoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup bbq sauce

Method

  • Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and vegetable oil. This will be the rub for the ribs.

  • Step 2

Rub the seasoning mixture all over the country-style pork ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  • Step 3

    Preheat the oven to 275°F.

  • Step 4

Place the seasoned pork ribs in a single layer in a large roasting pan. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.

  • Step 5

Cook, covered, for 2 hours undisturbed.

  • Step 6

Remove from the oven and discard the aluminum foil wrap. Transfer the ribs to a plate and baste the ribs with bbq sauce. Pour the liquid out from the roasting pan and return the ribs to it. Turn the oven temperature up to 350°. Return the bbq basted ribs to the oven and cook, uncovered, for 1 hour.

  • Step 7

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
