Kick start your week with these Turmeric Wellness Shots!

TIPS:

  • If you don't want to buy individual bottles, just add to a mason jar and pour daily shots, so easy. If you don't want to use Turmeric just use all ginger.
  • For the liquid, you can use water, coconut water, or pineapple juice. The pineapple juice will help with the spice level. Use between 1/2 cup- 2 cups depending on how strong you like your shots.
  • Turmeric stains. Make sure to wear gloves so your hands don't stain. Also, make sure to clean your blender right away. If it does stain, soak in vinegar and baking soda

ingredients

  • 7 ounces ginger, diced into chunks
  • 4 ounces turmeric no need to peel
  • 1/2-2 cups coconut water or pineapple juice (depending on how strong you want)
  • 2 oranges peeled
  • 2 lemons
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 3 Tbsp honey or maple syrup for sweetness and to tone down the spice
  • Optional: dash cayenne pepper for extra heat

    Blend all the ingredients in a blender then strain over a cheesecloth.
