ingredients
- 500 grams button mushrooms
- 1 large red onion, sliced
- 1 green chili, sliced
- 1 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
- 8 curry leaves
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
- 3/4 tablespoons black pepper corn, roughly crushed
- 1/2 tablespoons fennel seeds
- 1 tablespoons coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoons garam masala
- Salt as per taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil/ any cooking oil of your choice
Method
Step 1
Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds. Saute for a few seconds till they become fragrant.
Step 2
Add sliced onion, curry leaves, green chilies and sauté for around 8-10 minutes, till onion becomes translucent.
Step 3
Next, add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for around a minute. Throw in the mushrooms, spices, salt and mix well.
Step 4
Cook the mushrooms for 10-12 minutes or till the mushrooms are nicely cooked and the water released by mushrooms gets almost dry. Keep on stirring in between. Once mushrooms are cooked, switch off the gas.
Step 5
Add lime juice and coriander leaves to the mushrooms and mix well.
Step 6
Serve hot with roti or rice.
