"stuffed french toast sammy 😋 not my typical breakfast, but sometimes you’re just in the mooooood! i used @simplekneads_gf sourdough batter in an egg, cinnamon, and vanilla on a skillet with ghee. then stuffed it with @kitehillfoods cream cheese, blueberries, and maple syrup. happy thursday!"

ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese
  • Blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

Method

  • Step 1

    Heat the ghee in a saucepan over medium heat.

  • Step 2

    Beat the egg with the vanilla and cinnamon. Dunk each slice of bread in the egg mixture, so that they are completely coated. Cook the bread on the pan until crispy, about 3 minutes on each side.

  • Step 3

    Remove from the pan and spread with cream cheese. Top with the blueberries and drizzle with the maple syrup.
