For the Marinade

ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, cut into 1" pieces
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons oyster sauce

For the stir fry

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil, or grapeseed oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 pound broccoli, precut or whole chopped into florets
  • 2 tabelspoons water
  • 10 tablespoons Annie's Organic Shiitake Sesame Dressing, divided

Method

  • Step 1

Combine meat and marinade ingredients. Set aside.

  • Step 2

Heat wok or large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add oil. Swirl oil around to coat pan evenly. Add garlic and ginger. Stir for less than 30 seconds.

  • Step 3

Add marinated meat to wok. Allow meat to sear in one place without touching for several minutes until a nice browning occurs. Then stir meat together. Add 2-3 tablespoons of dressing and stir for a few seconds until glazed (no residual dressing). Add salt and stir. Remove meat to plate and set aside.

  • Step 4

Add broccoli, 1/4 cup of dressing and water. Drizzle dressing around edges of wok so it can deglaze pan. Stir together, then place lid on wok for 1-2 minutes (on shorter end for crispy broccoli). If cooking broccoli longer, stir once halfway through cook time. Remove lid and stir together.

  • Step 5

Return cooked meat to wok and stir together. Taste and add 2-3 tablespoons dressing. Cook for 1 minute, tossing together and allowing dressing to glaze meat and vegetables. Taste adding a pinch of salt, if desired. Serve with hot jasmine rice or egg noodles.
