Ricotta Fig Toasts

"Fresh figs on toasts – have you ever tried it? I absolutely love figs and I’ve been including them in my cakes and salads for a while now but it wasn’t until this year that I finally tried this toast + fig combo. It’s delicious guys! So as I’ve managed to find some fresh figs on a market (probably last time this year) and as I’ve fancied a sweet toast I made them again for breakfast. Light, creamy ricotta works perfectly with the sweetness of figs and honey and piney-aroma and sharp flavor of rosemary. You only need a few ingredients to make this great toast – perfect for breakfast, lunch or weekend brunch. So make sure that you save the recipe for later. What is your favourite toast topping?"

Recipe Card


  • 2 slices good quality bread (such as sourdough), toasted
  • 2 fresh figs, sliced
  • 3 tablespoon whipped vegan ricotta, or regular ricotta/cream cheese
  • 1 handfull fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey


  • Step 1

    Spread ricotta on each bread slice. Lay the figs over the toasts.

  • Step 2

    Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with fresh rosemary and sesame seeds.
