ingredients

  • 4 cups brussel sprouts, halved and boiled in water
  • 4 strips bacon, sliced into pieces
  • Seeds of 1 pomegranate
  • 3 tablespoons chopped shallots
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup

Method

  • Step 1

    Heat a large skillet over medium heat. SautΓ© the bacon in the pan for 2 minutes, then add onions and brussel sprouts. Cook for 5 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Next, add the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and pomeganate ​seeds. Reduce and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Mix in the maple syrup. Top with pomegranate seeds.
