ingredients

  • 2 avocados
  • 1 cup cooked chickpeas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 8 slices bread, or 4 buns

Method

  • Step 1

    Combine chickpeas, avocado, olive oil, and lemon juice in a bowl, and mash with a fork. Add salt, pepper and cayenne to taste.

  • Step 2

    Divide the filling between 4 buns or slices of bread, add your favorite toppings and enjoy.

  • Step 3

    Topping ideas include watercress, sprouts, cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, etc.
