French Toast Rolls with Nutella®

  • 8 slices of white sandwich bread
  • 2 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divded
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • Butter-flavored nonstick cooking spray
  • 1/4 cup Nutella®
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar


  • Step 1

    Cut the crust off the pieces of bread and discard.

  • Step 2

    In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, vanilla, and salt together.

  • Step 3

    Dip the bread into the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly.

  • Step 4

    Preheat a frying pan or griddle to medium heat. Spray with butter-flavored nonstick cooking spray.

  • Step 5

    Cook the bread slices in the prepared pan until browned on both sides. Remove to a plate and cool completely.

    After the French toast has cooled completely, flatten each piece of bread with a rolling pin.

  • Step 7

    Spread 1/2 tablespoon of Nutella® evenly onto each piece of French toast and roll into a tight log.

    In a small bowl, stir together the confectioners' sugar with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Dust the French toast rolls with the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Serve with fresh fruit on the side.
