Perfectly toasted sourdough bread is the perfect vehicle for seared mushrooms and a creamy white bean spread! Serve this as a savory breakfast toast, a light lunch or dinner!

ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil of choice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup your favorite mushrooms
  • Salt, as needed
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, as needed
  • 2 slices of sourdough bread or gluten free equivalent, toasted
  • 1/4 cup white bean spread or hummus
  • Parsley, for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

    Over medium high heat, sear the mushrooms in oil until golden brown with oil and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 2

    Toast bread and top with a generous amount of creamy white bean spread or hummus.

  • Step 3

    Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and enjoy!
