  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 3/4 ounces chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2

In a large bowl, add the mashed bananas and eggs, whisking to combine. Then add the sugar, maple syrup and vanilla. Whisk to combine.

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, folding until combined.

  • Step 4

Line a loaf tin with parchment paper and add half of the banana bread mixture. Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips into the tin. Top with the remaining mix and sprinkle the chocolate on top.
