ingredients
- 2/3 cup atta flour, sifted
- 1/8 teapsoons salt
- 1/2 tbsp coconut oil, optional
- 1/3 cup boiling water
- all-purpose flour, for dusting
Method
Step 1
In a small bowl, combine atta flour, salt and (optional) coconut oil. Pour in boiling water and mix with a spatula.
Step 2
Pour the contents out onto a floured working surface and knead until a soft dough forms. Divide the dough into 4 round balls (40g each).
Step 3
With a small rolling pin, roll out the dough into 6 inch rounds. Dust with flour whenever it starts to stick.
Step 4
Heat a pan to medium heat. Once it's hot, cook the chapati for 1 minute, or until lightly browned. Flip and repeat on the other side.
Step 5
Enjoy together with your favourite curries, dip in sauces or use it like a wrap.
