Vegan and Paleo Waffles

  • 1 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cups tapioca starch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoons ground flax seeds
  • 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons apple sauce
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt


  • Step 1

    Combine the ground flax and water in a bowl, whisk together and set aside to thicken. Add the almond flour, tapioca starch, baking powder, and sea salt in a large mixing bowl and mix together.

  • Step 2

    Add in all remaining ingredients and whisk together. Stir in the flax egg. Heat a waffle maker and add a touch of coconut oil to prevent sticking.

  • Step 3

    Use a ladle to scoop out the batter into the waffle maker. Repeat until all batter has been used. Serve with maple syrup and berries. Best if eaten right away.
