ingredients

  • 1/3 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds

Method

  • Step 1

    In a medium pot, heat oil over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes. When oil is hot, pour in popcorn kernels and cover with a lid. Let popcorn fully pop, shaking pot occasionally, and then remove from heat when popcorn is done popping, or 3 seconds go by in between hearing kernels pop. Place popcorn in a large bowl.To create the herb mix, combine all of the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Shake half of the mixture over the hot popcorn and then toss. Pour remaining mixture over the popcorn and toss again. Enjoy popcorn as a healthy and flavorful snack which can be stored in an air-tight bag for up to 3 days after making.
