Japanese Natto

(7)
"I wouldn't be a true Japanese food lover if I didn't try one of the most popular breakfast staples in Japan. Natto is a traditional Japanese dish made from soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis. Vitamin PQQ, which is very important for the skin is found in natto as well as vitamin K which has shown to enhance liver function, and encourage the flow of urine. When prepared right, it's actually delicious! If you're a fan of okra, you'll love this (it has a similar slimy texture to it). Add some green onions, and soy sauce to prepare. Here's to trying new unpopular foods (Andrew Zimmern taught me) "
