ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups chopped yellow onions
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 8 cups gluten free Udi's whole grain bread
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup water or chicken stock
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 apple, diced

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2

    In a medium pan, add the butter and melt. Then add onions and celery and saute until tender. Remove from the heat and set aside.

  • Step 3

    In a large mixing bowl, add bread cubes, apple, parsley, salt and seasonings. Add the onion mixture in with the bread cubes.

  • Step 4

    In a small cup, mix the water with the egg and toss gently with the bread mixture. Stuff into the cavity of the turkey.

  • Step 5

    Place the extra stuffing into a buttered casserole dish. Once filled, dot with butter. Bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes until heated through and the top is nice and brown.
