ingredients
- 1 cup chickpeas
- 2 beetroots, cut in large cubes
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon groujd cumin
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- Chilli flakes, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Method
Step 1
Steam the beetroots or bake in the oven , as you prefer.
Step 2
In a blender, blend together the boiled chickpeas, beetroot, tahini, garlic, cumin, chilly flakes and salt and pepper. Add lemon juice and cold water gradually till you get the right consistency.
Step 3
Garnish with toasted nuts and seeds. Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil just before serving.
