- 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Italian Herb Base
- 1/4 cup honey mustard
- 3 large croissants, sliced `
- 6 slices Havarti cheese (or Swiss)
- 1/4 pound thinly sliced turkey
- 3 strips of cooked bacon
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Better Than Bouillon Baked Ham Base
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for topping
- Raspberry perserves, for serving
The Night Before:
Method
Step 1
Grease an 8”x10” baking dish with melted butter and set aside.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix Better Than Bouillon Italian Herb Base with honey mustard until well combined.
Assemble the Sandwiches (night before cont.)
Step 1
Start with the croissant bottoms.
Step 2
Spread a layer of the mustard mixture on each.
Step 3
Layer with Havarti, turkey, bacon, another slice of Havarti, and more spread.
Step 4
Top with the croissant tops.
Step 5
Arrange the sandwiches snugly in the baking dish.
Step 6
Make the Custard: In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and Better Than Bouillon Baked Ham Base until smooth.
Step 7
Pour the custard mixture evenly over the sandwiches. Sprinkle with shredded Gruyere cheese.
Step 8
Cover the dish tightly and refrigerate overnight.
The Day Of:
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Remove the dish from the refrigerator and bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
Step 2
Let the casserole cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with raspberry preserves for dipping.
