ingredients

  • 1 pint blueberries,
  • 1 tablespoons granulated sugar,
  • 1 tablespoons all purpose flour,
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats,

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350F.

  • Step 2

Toss blueberry, all-purpose flour, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest evenly in a bowl until it's all coated.

  • Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oat, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Then, add the cold butter and with a pastry cutter, cut the cold butter into the mixture until it yields a crumbly mixture.

  • Step 4

In a 6.5 x 10 inch baking tray, distribute the blueberries on the bottom layer. Then, add the crumble mixture on top. Make sure to distribute the crumble evenly on top and that the crumble layer isn't too thick or else it won't crisp up in the oven.

  • Step 5

Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with ice cream on top (optional).
