Chicken Parm Style Pasta Bake

ingredients

  • 14 frozen Chicken Fingers
  • 1/4 cups Olive Oil
  • 28 ounces Crushed or Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Small Onion, diced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, sliced
  • 1 pounds Ziti
  • 6 ounces Fresh Mozzarella, shredded
  • 1/4 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated

Method

  • Step 1

    Brush both sides chicken fingers and air fry 420 for about 10 min. You may need more or less time depending on your air fryer.

  • Step 2

    Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil, salt generously and cook pasta according to directions.

  • Step 3

    Heat 1/4 cup olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and sauté until soft, about 4-5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and with salt and pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes while pasta is cooking, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 4

    When pasta is finished cooking, take about a cup of the sauce out and set aside for serving. Using a slotted spoon or spider, scoop pasta directly into the pan of remaining sauce. Toss the pasta with the sauce and place in a baking pan.

  • Step 5

    Preheat broiler. Mix breadcrumbs with 2 tablespoons olive oil with breadcrumbs. Top the pasta with the chicken fingers, shredded fresh mozzarella and breadcrumbs tossed in olive oil. Then broil until cheese is melted, bubbly and golden. About 4 minutes, depending on your broiler.

  • Step 6

    Remove from oven, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve with remaining sauce.

    Note: To make this even easier, use your favorite jarred sauce! (Just don’t tell my grandma I said that 🤫) Enjoy!!
