A Note from Feedfeed

This recipe, originally from @piloteater, is made with red wine and amaro for a boldly flavored and hued cinnamon and whiskey drink.

ingredients

  • 1 ounce Rye Whiskey
  • 1/2 ounce Amaro Montenegro
  • 3/4 ounce Amontillado Sherry
  • 3/4 ounce (15ml) cinnamon syrup
  • 3/4 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • Full bodied red wine, to float
  • Ground cinnamon, to garnish

Method

  • Step 1

    In a cocktail shaker, dry-shake all ingredients, except the wine. Add ice, shake again and double strain into a coupe glass.

  • Step 2

    Using the back of a barspoon, gently layer in the wine, making a zig zag design. Garnish with cinnamon and serve.
