ingredients
- 3/4 cup oats
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 almond butter
- 8 dates
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 1/4 cup apple puree
- 2 teaspoons oil
- a pinch of salt
- 2 pears
- 1 tablespoon tapioca starch
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven at 180°C or 350°F Cut the pear into cubes and place them in a large bowl. Add a tablespoon of tapioca starch and one tablespoon of maple syrup if needed. Fried them for about 5-6 minutes in a large pan. Set aside.
Step 2
Mix your rolled oats in a food processor. Then add your dates and mix again. Transfer into a bowl, add the almond flour, salt, almond butter, maple syrup and oil. Mix everything until you get a crumbly texture.
Step 3
Then press half of the crust mixture to a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Spread the pear on top of the crust. And finally top with the rest of the crumbly mixture and press gently.
Step 4
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden. Cool for 1 hour and then slice into bars.
