A Note From Jessica Bride

Over the last two decades home cooks, farmers, growers and chefs from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have been challenging old stereotypes and creating better, fresher, healthier and more organic and sustainable food than ever before. Today you can find British inspiration from Ottolenghi to Jamie Oliver to home cooks smoking their own salmon, infusing ice cream with Earl Grey Tea and utilizing the exotic spices of which the country is so fond. I hope you too can find fantastic inspiration here!

Tomato Water Martini

My Tomato Water Martini concoction at the #muirglen recipe shoot, beautifully shaken, styled & captured by @pheasantandhare. I was channeling Julia Child when I developed this one. It's light, refreshing and something she might toss together with the tomato juice at the bottom of the salad bowl, a little lime and some gin, just for her. But you can share, too.

A Note From Jessica Bride

Make sure to whip up extra tomato water vodka and you'll be in good shape for morning-after Bloody Mary's.

Thank you Karl Chetcuti / @meridiana_wine_estate for filling our glasses, @marisa_dobson for organizing the event and @lovetothecorephoto for capturing all these beautiful moments in your pictures ❤️ Berlin, Malta, London, New York and Washington - each #eatinmykitchenbook launch event was filled with countless magic moments, each event made my heart stop and jump. Apple Cider Irish Mule

It's Friday!! And I have a new cocktail on the blog for you - the Apple Cider Irish Mule! Inspired by my popular drink the Irish Mule - which is just a twist on the Moscow Mule but uses whiskey instead of vodka. And this apple cider version is all dolled up for fall with fresh apple cider. Ya dig it?

Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Chip Scones With Candied Ginger

Happy Halloween!! We're spending ours cuddling with our new mini pumpkin (and potentially dressing him up -- sorry in advance, little man) but before he came our way, I had the chance to bake up these Halloween-y Harvest Pumpkin Scones with king arthur flour for their Holiday Table! Craggy on the outside and moist within, with spices, cinnamon chips and ginger, they're pretty much my dream scone.

A Note From Jessica Bride

Believe it or not, the original jack-o-lanterns were actually carved from turnips. I'm glad we've moved on to pumpkins, not only because I can't imagine it's easy or finger-friendly to work on a turnip but because leftover pumpkin tastes much better in scones.
