Ginger Turmeric Cashew Smoothie

Step One: Golden Milk (aka Tumeric Almond Milk)
Ingredients
1 tsp minced ginger
1 pinch black pepper (increases absorption of curcumin in Tumeric)
1 tbsp tumeric
2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tbsp coconut oil *
Method
On medium low heat - place coconut oil, tumeric, black pepper and ginger in a sauce pan and whisk slowly until fragrant. Add 2 cups of almond milk continue to whisk and bring to a low boil. Turn off and let cool.
Step 2: Smoothie Time
Ingredients
2 cup Tumeric Ginger Milk
2 serving vanilla pea protein
2 tbsp cashew butter
2 tbsp chia
Method
Add all ingredients to a blender with ice and blend. Top with fresh red raspberries!
