- 1 slice bread, toasted
- 2 cups strawberries, or raspberries, fresh or frozen
- 1/ 2 lemon, juiced
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup, optional
- 2 tablespoons nut butter, or seed butter
Add berries to a small pot and heat until warmed. Mash with a fork or masher. Add lemon juice, chia seeds and maple syrup, if using. Cook until thickened.
Store any leftovers in the fridge and use within a couple of days.
Slather toast with nut butter of choice and top with chia jam!
