Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs

(1)
"It's Saucy Saturday and the cheese is back! Turned my meatball sub recipe from the Meatball Feed on @thefeedfeed into mozzarella stuffed meatballs and spaghetti with spicy vodka sauce and torn basil! Used my @5280meat ground beef, and stuffed each meatball with a little fresh ciliegine mozzarella ball! Delicioso! Can we also just talk about this cheese pull?!"

Recipe Intro From bazaarlazarr

I love cheese! Taking my meatball recipe from my slider recipe and adding the gooey goodness of fresh mozzarella, these are a total crowd pleaser of giant meatball proportions!

Yields 5 4oz meatballs

Ingredients:

8oz. Ground Beef (about 20% fat)
4oz. Spicy Italian Sausage, casing removed
4oz. Ground Veal
1.5 tsp. Dried Oregano
3 tbsp. Fresh Parsley, chopped
6 Garlic Cloves, crushed
¼ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
¼ cup Italian Style Breadcrumbs
1 Large Egg, lightly beaten
5 pieces fresh ciliegine mozzarella

Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
2. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
3. Mix your ingredients together in a bowl (don’t overwork your meat). I like to mix everything together and then add in the breadcrumbs last and add more if needed.
4. Pat mozarella dry
5. Measure 4oz of meat
6. Make a hole with your thumb in the center of your meatball
7. Place mozarella ball in hole
8. Make sure mozarella is completely covered by meat
9. Place on your lined backing sheet
10. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the internal temperature of your meatballs is 165 degrees
11. Line a plate with paper towl
12. Once done baking, let them rest a beat and then add them to your sauce!
