I have just discovered Battenberg cakes and must admit to a slight obsession. How did I not know this was a thing?! These cakes are distinctive for their checkerboard pattern pink and yellow squares, coated in jam and wrapped in marzipan. Though, now that I’m on the lookout for these, I’m finding lots of other colors as well!
