- 1 cup water
- 1/2 medium lemon, juiced
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 3 ounces bourbon
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 star anise
Add maple syrup, lemon, water, cinnamon sticks, and star anise to a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes...
Remove from heat and let steep for 45 minutes. Strain and pour into a crystal glass for a little holiday spirit! Add your bourbon atop for serving.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick or a peel of a lemon.
