ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons chopped peanuts
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil (optional)
  • Flakey sea salt (optional), for topping

Method

  • Step 1

Peel the bananas and cut each banana in half. Then, slice each piece in half lengthwise, creating 4 banana slices per banana. This will give you a total of 8 banana slices.

  • Step 2

Arrange the banana slices on a parchment-lined plate or tray.

  • Step 3

Spread a layer of smooth peanut butter on each slice of banana.

  • Step 4

Chop the peanuts and sprinkle them on top of the peanut butter layer on each banana slice.

  • Step 5

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and optional coconut oil. Microwave in 15-second increments, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted.

  • Step 6

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the banana slices, ensuring each slice is well-covered.

  • Step 7

Place the plate or tray in the freezer and freeze for at least one hour or until the chocolate is set.

  • Step 8

Sprinkle flakey salt over the frozen banana Snickers before serving.
