"The perfect, best ever, most delicious buttermilk fried chicken - - Fried chicken is my family’s 4th of July tradition. You can bet there will be a huge bucket of this goodness as we watch the fireworks next week. What are your family’s food traditions?Leave them in the comments below. (If you guys don’t have one, may I suggest fried chicken - it is a good one ;)) - Couple notes on the recipe - First I like to fry the chicken in the oil then finish cooking in the oven. This will help prevent the outside of the fried chicken from burning while the inside is still raw - - I add cornstarch to the coating because I finds that it makes it crispier, which is always a good thing - - Lastly, if you don't have overnight to marinate the chicken, just make sure you soak it for a least 2 hours before frying"
