FAQs
Can I make this tiramisu gingerbread house ahead of time?
Yes! Assemble the house up to 24 hours in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Add the garnishes just before serving for the best presentation.
How do I prevent the ladyfingers from getting too soggy?
Quickly dip the ladyfingers into the cold brew and eggnog mixture—just 1-2 seconds per side. Over-soaking will make them too soft to stack.
What can I use instead of cold brew?
You can use strong brewed coffee (cooled) or decaf coffee if you’re serving kids.
Can I decorate this gingerbread house further?
Absolutely! Add festive touches like mini candy canes, chocolate shavings, or edible glitter for a fun, holiday-themed finish.
Is this recipe kid-friendly?
Yes, this recipe is alcohol-free and safe for kids to enjoy. You can also substitute the coffee with milk for a fully caffeine-free version.
Ingredient Notes
Heavy Whipping Cream: Whipping cream is the base for the fluffy mascarpone filling. Be sure it’s cold to achieve stiff peaks quickly.
Mascarpone Cheese: This soft, creamy cheese gives the tiramisu its signature richness. Use full-fat for the best texture.
Eggnog: The holiday favorite replaces traditional espresso in this recipe, adding creamy, spiced flavor. Use store-bought or homemade eggnog for convenience.
Ladyfingers: These light, crisp biscuits soak up the cold brew and eggnog mixture beautifully while providing structure for the house.
Cold Brew: A mild cold brew coffee complements the eggnog without overpowering it. Substitute with strong brewed coffee if needed.
Powdered Sugar: Adds sweetness to the cream filling and creates a snowy dusting for garnish.
Cocoa Powder and Nutmeg: Garnishes that enhance both the look and flavor with cozy winter spices.

ingredients
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup eggnog, divided
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, plus more for dusting
- 1 cup cold brew
- 1 (7 ounce) package ladyfingers
- Cocoa powder, for garnish
- Nutmeg, for garnish
Method
Method
Step 1
Pour whipping cream into a large bowl. Use a hand mixer to whip until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Step 2
In another large bowl, add in the mascarpone cheese, 1/2 cup of eggnog, and 2 tbsp powdered sugar. Whip with the hand mixer until evenly combined with stiff peaks.
Step 3
Spoon the mascarpone mixture into the whipped cream mixture. Use the hand mixer to whip them together with stiff peaks.
Step 4
Use a piping bag or ziplock bag and carefully spoon the cream mixture in. Cut off the tip. Set aside.
Step 5
In a bowl, combine the cold brew and other 1/2 cup eggnog. Stir to mix.
Step 6
Get plate you want to serve the tiramisu house on. Going 1 at a time, quickly dip 4 lady fingers into the cold brew mixture. Then pipe a thick line of cream mixture on the bottom of the ladyfingers before placing them down next to each other (cream side down) in a neat row on the plate.
Step 7
Repeat with 4 more lady fingers, lining them up in the opposite direction of the first row. Repeat until there’s 4 alternating rows of 4 ladyfingers.
Step 8
Pipe a thick layer of cream mixture just down the middle of the top layer of ladyfingers. Lay just 2 soaked lady fingers down. Then repeat again and just put 1 soaked lady finger on top.
Step 9
Cut your remaining ladyfingers in half. Don’t soak these. Instead, pipe a thick layer of cream mixture on the bottoms, and lean them up over the top ladyfinger, creating a triangle roof-like shape. Repeat to complete the roof.
Step 10
Garnish with extra powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and a bit of nutmeg.
