Slightly adapted from the Barefoot Contessa’s Coq Au Vin, this recipe is foolproof. Start out with thick chunks of bacon and layer in flavor with cut whole chicken, carrots, celery, Cognac and a beautiful bottle of dry red wine. Perfect to serve with mashed potatoes or crusty baguette.
